Today, we have the worst air quality ranking in the world. For many other cities on the list, this would be just another Wednesday. For our brains this morning, the colour of the light was jarring. One part of us was saying, "It's going to rain." Another part of us was saying, "It's wildfire smoke." The smokey air cast a yellow hue on everything. Our yellow flowers are extra yellow this morning.

I feel like I am living in a Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment scene. Yellow references everywhere.

Last night, I picked the herbs and 11 snack bags with red and champagne currants.

We are in a transition stage in the garden. The cool weather crops are done and on the compost pile, Hot weather ones are awaiting proper sunshine and rain.

Everything looks like I've used a yellow filter.

Despite the eerienss of this morning, we have something to celebrate. Ted had a good night's sleep! Thank you Lord.

And, celebration #2 - the radishes that I forgot to pick last week, did not split AND are very tasty and not woody. Yay!!!
