The welcoming at Garden Hill Farmers' Market is getting a little eerie.
There's a fall theme everywhere you look. We don't know if we've ever seen a more prolific pumpkin patch. Some kiddies will be happy in a few weeks.
Breakfast today was a Western Croissant. $7. Yummy!
I love that this is a down-to-earth farmers' market. No extras from China. Just good produce, much of which was grown on their own farms. Sadly, we have no reason to buy vegetables, except for corn, from them because our gardens are still in the giving mode and our freezers are full. It is still fun to enjoy the beauty of what these farmers grow.
Aren't those red/oranges beautiful????
Their gourds outdid themselves this year in the wacky category.
I've never seen flat cabbages in the flesh. They can be used for cabbage rolls and Coolwraps. I couldn't believe the $4 price. It's the bargain of the month.
It looks like one of these guys was amazed too.
“I would rather sit on a pumpkin,
and have it all to myself,
than be crowded on a velvet cushion.”
Henry David Thoreau
