I think the cut tulips were wondering about the garden. Doesn't look like there will be gardening any time soon.

This has been my favourite winter in the past 4 decades. There has been new beauty each day. Just looking out the window makes me happy. This morning's snow fall was stunning. Not sure the weather vane thought the same.

Ted is not as impressed with our winter as I am. He wanted to go on a little road trip to find some happiness this morning. The Garden Hill Farmers' Market was on his radar.

Wild turkeys were enjoying some leftover soybeans for their breakfast along the way.

We zig-zagged through the hills.

Grist Mill Road feels like it is lost in history.

Garden Hill Farmers Market is easy to spot. Their patriotism was flying high in the snow-filled wind this morning.

Hmmmmm..... Two Western Breakfast sandwiches please. As our sandwiches were being prepared, we checked out the market and found some interesting items:

buggy whips and hot buggy whips, and.....

....Happiness! We found happiness. It really wasn't all that far from home.

Happiness comes in various containers. My personal favourite is Sargent Dairy's chocolate milk. Sooooo good.

Market folks clearly indicated where each item of produce was grown. Their own rutabagas were looking enticing. One went home with us.

Every time we visit this market, we notice more items they are making themselves.

It wasn't long before our sandwiches were ready.

This is the face of a man who went searching for happiness and found it.

Today, happiness was easy to find.

For both of us.

“When I was 5 years old,

my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life.

When I went to school,

they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.

I wrote down ‘happy’.

They told me I didn’t understand the assignment,

and I told them they didn’t understand life.”

John Lennon
