This evening's fishing destination was the Ganaraska River on Old Cavan Street in Port Hope. The Optimist Park has some lovely shaded picnic tables and benches along the river there.
Someone and his reflection were in the river in a flash.
And someone else decided that imaginary fishing was the way to go. Wonder who will catch the first fish? We talked with a lady who was taking her son to check for silver salmon. She said that a few were making it this far up the river, but there would be plenty at the end of the month.
One can only hope.
Aha! He's not happy at all.
You'd never know we were in the middle of a town.
Later, we moved further south where there were more rapids.
Rapids and nice pools to sit in.
The sun was starting to set on this idyllic evening.....
.... and grandpa could be seen in the distance.
Time for one last dip.
This post is sponsored by the thought: You only live once.
We'll be back tomorrow for breakfast along the river.

once is enough.”
