Thursday evenings have been lovely this summer. From 6-8 p.m. Road to Cultivate concerts have been a joy to attend. Last night's concert in Port Hope was particularly lovely. Cale Crow sang songs for us that he'd written in the past 10 years or so. It felt to me like a visit from a friend who you don't see enough of.
I am the first to admit that I know less than nothing about music. Even so, I love how Cale is able to create and record his own backup rhythms on the fly. There are proper words to describe that process, but they are not ones I know. It's like he's building a digital backup band.
I wasn't the only one who was inspired.
Who knows where Cale's influence will go?
It looks to me like his wife was wondering the same thing.
There are 3 more Road to Cultivate concerts left. Nice.
