When I saw this seemingly new Drain Brothers dump truck, I had the title for this blog post. How do you ever get such a shine on a truck!!??? And, there's the fair reflected in its box. The rest of this post will be in black and white because it seems to fit.

A black and white chicken against its rigid cage.

This young lady was tasked to thread her horse through a series of poles. She and the horse seemed to be in tune with each other and really enjoying themselves.

We balanced the day with some inside time, some sitting and watching time, some walking time, some eating time, and some visiting with friends time. The weather couldn't have been more perfect.

Eating time. Three ambitious ladies from Bancroft were serving schnitzel with fried onions, saurkraut and all kinds of condiments. Best schnitzel I've had in years. The meal was so large that Ted and I split one.

I love how young kids and their calves seem to be such good friends....

.... not even needing to look each other in the eye, just feeling their way around the ring.

There were horse owners coming from as far as Quebec. All that travel for less than 12 feet of pulling.
What powerful legs!

I could have watched these pulls all day.

This was the fair to meet friends. We saw at least a dozen friends, including these two sweethearts.

Ted beat the horses' steps by a country mile. He walked 6,072 steps today. Things are looking up around here!
