The rush is on. Two days from now there may be 10 to 15 cm of snow on the ground. It will make wheeling firewood blocks very difficult.
Hmmm.... it looks like the lawn will need some raking and seeding in the spring. Oops.
Someone is still happy doing a job he loves.
Even the pine trees are getting into the action. Might as well make themselves useful while they are standing there.
I am guessing that Ted's cut up and taken away 25% of last week's load of logs.
And, inside the house? Key Lime pie and sweet potato soup were made this morning. If we aren't going south any longer, we can at least eat southern food.
There's the snow.
The Saskatoon berry painting is almost half done. No rush here.
“No matter how careful you are,
there's going to be the sense you missed something,
the collapsed feeling under your skin that you didn't experience it all.
There's that fallen heart feeling that you rushed right through the moments
where you should've been paying attention.
Well, get used to that feeling. That's how your whole life will feel some day.
This is all practice.”
