Our adventures are getting closer and closer to home. That doesn't stop them from being lovely. For my birthday adventure, our dear camping buddies met us for lunch at The Big Apple. That wasn't enough adventure, so 5 of us popped over to the Nawautin Nature Sanctuary on Lake Ontario. Swans and Canada Geese are nesting, nicely spaced out from each other. Every so often, there would be a ruckus and then everything would settle down and they'd continue on with their days.

Preening on nests seemed to be popular.

It looks like we all got the wardrobe memo and dressed to match each other.

There was the odd sign of spring in plant world. Even if it was man-planted.

Spring is coming. At least, that's what the swans and geese and crocuses think.

I am hoping this quote is true:

“No winter lasts forever;

no spring skips its turn.”
