The GreenUP Ecology Park was our pre-doctor's-appointment fun for the morning in Peterborough. We've had so many good experiences camping next to this garden/nursery/arboretum over the years. We wanted to see how things were coming along this year. It was like visiting an old friend.
And, for the most part, if you look up.....it is green there. Below is a Kentucky Coffee Tree. Aren't those overlapping leaves beautiful?
This morning's light cast some very nice shadows.
We found a bench that we've sat on manya time and watched....
.... ducks and their reflections. A slow day.
It's hard to believe that we were in the middle of an 85,000 population city.
As we sat on the bench, a bumble bee buzzed from rose to rose.
We spotted a Nettle Leaf Mullein.
It's like the Creator said, "Let's bling up the stamens."
I rotated the Nettle Leaf Mullein image below 45° so it will not get pixelated. Isn't that a beautiful plant? Zone 5-8. They probably don't grow too much north of where we are.
It was a lovely visit.

on the wonders and realities of the universe about us,
the less taste we shall have for destruction.”
