A hike beginning and ending with lilacs.
Saturday's hike will be the popular Eagleson>Beavermeadow>Fisher>Edgar Benson>Eagleson route. Lilacs will be blooming at their peak.
Today's sponsor? The scent of lilacs. Our sponsor will make an appearance throughout this hike.
It's an EASY 5.6 km jaunt over paved and dirt roads.
Spring was springing out all over as we pre-hiked the route this morning.
You will probably be stopping for drinks and snacks where Fisher meets Edgar Benson. Good safe spot to gather.
You will see corn emerging in even rows.
And, you'll walk through a green, cool stretch of forest.
If you are not too deep in coversation with your hiking pals, you may even see these huge fungi.
And, if you are as lucky as we were this morning, the backlight will be perfect as you savour the lilacs back at the car.
