This afternoon, Ted & I pre hiked Saturday's Oliver's Lane hike. The weather was perfect!
I love this hike at this time of the year.
You might see ducklings....
.... or it might look like there's been a wedding in the neighbourhood.
I never noticed how many black locusts are on this route.
There are also some fine gardeners along the way. This one is Hazel, who brought her gardening skills from England.
You can tell. Her beautiful English Cottage Garden mishmash of beauty.
This hike could have the byline of Up, Up, Up, Down & a Garden.
Almost at the highest elevation you can see some new views. Cobourg is a-changin'.
And, looking northward, everything is still the same. Sigh.
The last "up" is on Sunset Drive.....
.... and it's downhill all the way to....
.... anyone who plants white Columbine in their ditch has a garden worth investigating.
We'll stop off at 22 Oliver's Lane and tour the gardens while we have our drink and snack. The gardens look green from this vantage point, but I can assure you, you will see lots of colour on Saturday.
The last part of the hike is downhill and flat. Maybe we will celebrate by popping some Bladder Campions.
