When these kids visit they have a mental list of things to do at Grandpa & Grandma's. And, heaven forbid we don't fulfill that list. Ewen and Ted made a Pirates of the Caribbean boat this morning while Charlotte and I enjoyed some quality collaging time at the new Green Wood Coalition Art Hive in Cobourg. Knowing that her brother got to build something with Grandpa did not sit well with Charlotte. She needed her time in the shop too. Of course she did.
Some practise with a drill....
.... and some with a router.... et .....
..... Voilà!
Ewen's biggest desire was to go fishing. I had no idea how long it takes to choose THE BEST lure for the lake.
A group of 8 or 10 men were at the end of the dock. They caught nothing. A group of 4 ladies were at the beginning of the dock. They caught a catfish and some other small fish. The kids were in the middle.....
... and the only thing that was caught was this great picture.
One more day of fun.
Glad their list isn't any longer.
“We don’t need a list of rights and wrongs,
tables of dos and don’ts:
we need books,
time,
and silence.
Thou shalt not is soon forgotten,
but Once upon a time lasts forever.”
